  1. Jiu-Jitsu is a generic name for a group of martial arts, some of which evolved from May, the ancient teachings of the samurai. JJB was developed from judo techniques, with emphasis on the presentation.
I went with JJB, but only because I prefer a syle with proven efficacy in style with a story about flowers

  2. BJJ focuses more on the ground, and communication. The person who said it was an imitation or BJJ is terribly wrong, or has an agenda, because of technical studies or teaches. It breaks down like this: In the 30s a master of Jiu-Jitsu from Japan trip to Brazil. Hélio Gracie would not accept because he said Helio was small and easy to make efficient use of Jiu Jitsu. Helio and his brother, who adapted trained by Master JJ, in the traditional style, the ITR can be effectively small by a person who used their property to be used without a body. In addition, Grace has refused to accept that an impasse and seek ways to break these locks, the method developed several techniques that have never JJ. Finally, BJJ, most traditional techniques of striking JJ eliminated because they came to live, many of them as impractical and not suitable for scenarios very spacific, a common shortcoming of most traditional systems, not the syndrome, but no one listens to askHell you in a real fight. I studied art and recommend, but I prefer BJJ. One thing that I can not stand, and we recommend that you have many traditional teachers, which is found in all this start better, because the "true and original" online. You are no doubt trying to sell his school to an environment that has become popular in BJJ.

  3. Hello.

As others have noted, is derived basically from BJJ and Judo is mainly a discussion floor system - albeit very, very big. This is not only one of the reasons is most often the preferred way for the formation of the MMA.

Other jiu-jitsu / Jiu-Jitsu Jiu-Jitsu systems / may be very diverse. It may be something of the classical art of the samurai in modern sport - and nothing in between.

The system of Jiu-Jitsu today can mean a significant number of kicks and punches, kicks and punches. You can be completely focused on themselves, defense, or too little, too. This can involve a large number of outlets (like the BJJ) and thus very limited. May they involve handling weapons, or not at all / a little of the same thing.

As you can see, it is much easier to know what happens if / when you BJJ. With other schools or styles of Jiu-Jitsu has not more research to know what are the main points of style.

Of course, this says nothing about the quality of education or services - is anotherSue him.

If the school accepts young teenager, I would say that no art would be great. It is much more important to find a quality school with a solid education at a fair price.

    Good luck to you!
